Major Structure
Working Principle
The time control of "pressurization", "welding", "maintenance", "rest" and other procedures in the process of welding workpiece is completed by the time regulator in the spot welding controller. The time required for each procedure and the size of welding current (i.e., "welding specification") should be set in advance.
When the welding machine is welding, first place the workpiece between the electrode of the welding tongs, then press the switch manually, the "pressurization" program starts, the solenoid valve acts, and the compressed air enters the cylinder of the welding machine to make the electrode of the welding tongs act, and then press the workpiece tightly; After an appropriate delay, the "welding" procedure begins. At this time, the primary coil of the welding transformer is connected to the power supply through the triggered thyristor (whose conduction angle is controllable), and the secondary welding current is generated to weld the workpiece; After the "welding" procedure, the thyristor is turned off, the transformer primary coil is powered off, and the welding machine enters the "maintenance" procedure; After the pressure is maintained for a period of time, the solenoid valve is disconnected, the upper electrode releases the workpiece, and the welding machine enters the "rest" procedure. At this time, a welding cycle has been completed.
